Bed Base Adjustable Width 185cm Length – Double

Fitting the adjustable slatted bed base:

• The adjustable slatted bed base is shown below on a British antique iron bed.
• It needs securing to most types of metal bed where it sits on top of the bed frame.
• Because the width is movable, it can slide, so must be secured.
• You can drill through the frame and bed use bolts to secure it, or we can provide cable ties on request, free of charge. They work well, with ease and can be hidden.
• This model adjustable frame additionally has a screw at the bottom of the frame which can be tightened to assist with preventing the frame from moving sidewards – although we would always recommend additional use of cable ties.
• Where the adjustable slatted bed base sits within a bed frame, for example, on wooden, upholstered or corbeille beds, it does not usually need securing. If the base does move, or you prefer to secure it, then again, you can use cable ties to secure it to your cross bars.
• You, the customer are responsible for fitting the base securely to your bed.

• Maximum height of 8 cm on metal beds where it sits on the corners of the bed base.

‘Hi Elena, I am a bit late replying but many thanks for the bed base which was exactly what I was looking for. Arrived safely on time and yes it went up the winding staircase with no problems. I was surprised that the slats become rather widely spaced at the ends but it works OK for me. The cable ties work fine but I also found an old roll of heavy-duty, thick, black, double sided sticky tape – a piece under each mounting point completely avoids any risk of sliding and eliminates any metal to metal contact which might eventually squeak. It makes a very comfortable bed – I have spent too much time over Christmas just lying on it. Thanks again. ‘ Roger, January 2022
