French Antique Bed Black 4 ft Small Double With Slatted Base

• This is a 4 ft (120 cm) – Small double bed.
• The bed looks like it has been sandblasted and resprayed some time ago ( not done by us ). There are some scratches in the paintwork from use, mainly on the top bars of the head and footbaord. But the finish is very good.
  • It is a good smooth matt black finish.
  • Currently there is some rust coming through at the bottom of the bed ( side irons ), and there are a few marks, scratches on the paintwork. Take a step back and they are harder to see.
• The brass is complete.
  • One of the small finials is very slightly different from the others.
  • The end caps on the brass on the headboard are different to the end caps on the footboard.
• The brass has been lightly cleaned, but still left with some marks and patches and is looking beautiful.
• Circa 1930s.
• The bed fits together well with ease and its original side irons.
• Included in this listing is an adjustable bed base which fits the bed perfectly. We supply cable ties which tie the base to the bed tightly.
• This bed will take a small double mattress measuring 4 ft x 6 ft 3, not supplied by us.
