Payment Methods

Payment Methods

• We expect payment within 7 days of your order date or we reserve the right to re-advertise. We accept the following methods of payment:
• Bank Transfer
• This is a transfer of funds through your bank. We will provide our account details for you to do this.
• Paypal Credit Cards are accepted, but only through Paypal which provides a safe and fast transfer.

Packing & Delivery

• Delivery cannot be made until payment has cleared.
• The cost of delivery, packing and handling is additional and will be arranged on an individual basis.
• Delivery costs vary depending on geographical location and items size and weight.
• Options and costs can be found on the delivery page.
• You are always welcome to arrange your own transport and in most instances collect items.
• Please note that a packing charge will be levied where we are asked to pack items for collection by your own courier.

Damage

• We must be notified within 24 hours of receipt of the goods of any damage.
• Please keep all packaging and paperwork and we will assist with insurance claims if this course of action is appropriate.
• We will not be liable for any damage where insurance has not been taken out by our client. In particular where delivery has been organised by our client.
• We recommend that in all instances, insurance be taken out.
• Our delivery charge includes insurance for the full value of the item.

Cancellations and Refunds

• You can cancel your order from the moment you place it and up to 28 calendar days from the date you receive your order.
• If your order has been sent out, you are responsible for organising and paying for the return of the goods.
• Returned goods should be sent with a tracked postal service, which includes insurance to the full value of the item.
• The French Bed Company are entitled to receive payment for any materials/services provided before the cancellation, e.g. where we have agreed to refurbish an item, for example sandblast or repaint to your specifications. We are therefore providing a bespoke product, so cost of materials already paid for by us may be withheld from your refund. These terms will be arranged with you on an individual basis.
• We will issue a refunds within 7 days of us receiving the returned goods.
• We may deduct money from the refund if it appears the item has been used beyond what was reasonable for you [ the consumer ] to inspect the goods.

Other

• You the customer are responsible for securely fitting our bed bases to your bed.
• You the customer are responsible for securely fitting beds together after delivery by us or our chosen delivery company.
• Our warranty will not be valid if a bed has not been fitted together securely, or a bed base has not been attached securely to a bed.
