Payment

We accept the following methods of payment:

  • Bank Transfer This is a transfer of funds through your bank.
  • All major credit cards are accepeted via PayPal which provides a safe and fast transfer.

Delivery & Collection

Delivery will be arranged after payment has cleared.

The cost of delivery, packing and handling is additional and arranged on an individual basis, depending on geographical location, item size and weight.

Our delivery charge includes insurance for the full value of the item.

You are welcome to arrange your own transport or collect items by appointment.

A packing charge may be levied if you arrange your own courier.

If The French Bed Company deliver to you we provide a door step delivery only. If you request our assistance to move a bed further into your house and there is any damage to your property in doing so, we are not liable for any costs.

Damage

We must be notified of any damage within 24 hours of receipt of goods.

Please keep all packaging and we will assist with insurance claims if this course of action is appropriate.

We will not be liable for any damage where insurance has not been taken out by you. For example where delivery has been organised by you.

If you collect your item, you are responsible for it after you have signed confirming collection of your order.

Returns & Refunds

If you’ve changed your mind about keeping your purchase, please notify us of your intention to return it within 14 days of receipt, and return it to us within 28 days of receipt.

Please return it to us in the condition it was sold, with proof of purchase. We will exchange or refund it, as long as it meets our terms and conditions explained on this page.

Our terms means:

  • You are the original purchaser.
  • You’ve kept the original packaging in good condition and the product can be resold at full price.
  • The product has not been used.
  • The product is not damaged.

If you return products which are outside our returns policy or if you don’t have proof of purchase, we’re unable to process a refund or exchange, so please keep your receipt or order confirmation.

If the item has been used or opened we will discuss returns on an individual basis and we will reserve the right to charge a returns fee.

Bespoke Products

Where we are creating a bespoke product and have paid for materials or services before an order is cancelled, we may withold funds from your refund or request a non-refundable deposit at the time of your order. These terms will be discussed with you on an individual basis.

How You Will Be Refunded

You will receive a full refund within 7 days of returning the item, to the same payment method you used.

Returns Cost

If your order has been sent out, you are responsible for organising and paying for the return of the goods.

Returned goods should be sent with a tracked service, which includes insurance to the full value of the item.

Small items can be posted back to us, please request the returns address and returns number from us, email: sales@thefrenchbedcompany.co.uk

Large items – we may be able to help with organising the return of large items if You are unable to arrange Your own return.

Items are free to return if they are damaged or faulty.

Miscellaneous

You are responsible for securely fitting our bed bases to your bed.

  • We are not liable for any injuries resulting from poorly secured bed bases.

You are responsible for securely fitting beds together after delivery by us, or by our chosen delivery company.

  • We are not liable for any injuries involving our beds or items sold by us.

Contact us with any concerns you may have about any aspect of our products. We believe all our products are fit for purpose and strive to ensure they are the best quality and safe to use.

It is your responsibility to check the dimensions of all goods to ensure that they will fit into your property.

We’re not liable for business losses. We only supply the products for domestic and private use. If you use the products for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

Warranty For Slatted Bed Bases

For your warranty to be valid it is your responsibility to ensure that:

  • The bed that you are using the bed base with is fitted together securely.
  • The bed base is fittetd securely to the bed.

We will repair where possible or replace your item under warranty.
