Troubleshooting
- Ensure your thread is clean.
- Rusty or painted threads may prevent the bedknob fitting to the thread. Even a small amount of detritus can prevent the thread from turning.
- Clean threads with wire wool.

- Check out the video below – the thin layer of paint stops the thread turning. The clean thread turns easily. The painted end will only turn once.
- If your thread is not quite a match, but the bedknob will turn enough to hold, consider reducing the height of your thread.
- As a new product the colour is likely to be different to your exisiting decoration.
- Either polish your brass bed or age the new brass.
- The colour of brass always changes over time.
